100 days. 100 hints on singing. No. 46. Those moments when you walk on stage to a dais or a mike, or a lone piano are portentous. You don’t need to be alone in them. You can walk embraced in the love and memory of all those who wish or have wished you well, those in the audience and those who have passed on. Perch your favorite aunt on your shoulder and listen to her telling you what you know she’s saying, or might be saying, giving you the courage of your convictions, the authority that in your weaker moments you’re afraid to claim. Walk, move in that cloud of consciousness and it will silence the dream of negativity. Be the man or woman of the moment. Trying is unacceptable, being is your right. Claim it. Claim the cloud. It will bear you up and on.
A cloud of witnesses.
