We go to church or Schul, to mosque, meeting house, or desert to enlarge our tents, to change our perspective, realign ourselves with principle, reset our thinking. We leave these places of spirit breathing more fully, smiling more readily, our thinking regrouped. Mind is enlarged and body opens into that space. Now, if the lesson of this age is that mind and body is one, the Alexander Technique might be called church for the body. It arrives from the other end of the mind-body continuum. We learn to consciously release the bodily aspect of our holdings and trace them back to mind. Body is enlarged. We lengthen and widen, and mind releases into that space. We are dually blessed. The Alexander Technique: It’s church for your body.
Adjusting the physical self to adjust the mental self. Yes indeed. A bit of a back door to the mind as in computer programming.
