Resentment, from the Latin re, again, and sentire, to feel, is to feel something again, to revisit the negative landmarks of our past. If the lesson of this age is that we are minded body and embodied mind, resentment must be felt throughout our entire systems, in contracting, stopping, and reliving our supposed wrongs. We can say no to the onset of resentment, and if we miss that opportunity, release its effects in our bodies, our shoulders, our necks, our hips, and thus in our minds. And here is a function of Alexander Technique, to undo the self-inflicted harms of resentment, of contraction and its concomitant pathologies.
